Room Quality
The regular rooms are a bit old, but plenty comfortable. Beds
are fine, carpet is a little tacky but not too worn out. Bathrooms
have a single sink and tub/shower combo. They look cheap, but
they are clean. Mini-suites offer a jacuzzi, a separate sitting
room and are much bigger than regular rooms. All tower rooms
have a refrigerator. Ask for the East Tower as these rooms are
reportedly nicer than the others at the Lady Luck, unless you
don't like walking because they are farther from the casino.
The East Tower is the taller one. If it is your first time staying
at the Lady Luck, tell them so at check-in and they might upgrade
you to a mini-suite to win your loyalty.
Service Quality:
Fair. The casino staff is nice enough, and they have a good fun
book, with coupons for things like a free two-minute long-distance
phone call, so you can ring up your mom and tell her you're doing
fine. The hotel is downscale, so they aren't prepared to serve
your every whim. Check-in is quick, elevators are quick, and
room service is actually not too outrageously priced.
What You Get Bottles
of in the Bathroom: Soap, shampoo and lotion.
Of course, not enough to mask the overpowering cigarette odor
you'll pick up in their cramped casino.
Clientele:
Average folks seeking a lower-budget experience. There are few
young people, and almost no children. It's for people who like
to gamble.
How's the pool?
Small, but at least they have one. Most places downtwn don't
have pools, so keep that in mind when considering your hotel.
Free Shuttle:
No shuttles. The closest free one is down at the California.
