New Year's Eve 2017 in Las Vegas - Where to Party & How to Party

Casino Boy knows there ain't no party like a Las Vegas party. So, where does one go to kick off the New Year's right when in Sin City? Duh - The Las Vegas Strip.

The whole Strip joins forces to present a New Year's Eve full of festivities in true Entertainment Capital of the World tradition. Big name casinos and hotels like MGM Grand, the Aria, Planet Hollywood, The Venetian, and Caesar's Palace launch fireworks off of their rooftops in a brilliant show that you and your new 300,000 other drinking buddies are sure to enjoy (don't be the idiot that falls over backwards looking up at the fireworks!!).

All traffic on the Strip is suspended after 5pm or 6pm for this event, so plan accordingly. Arrive early if you plan to drive, and check all public transportation schedules. Of course, you can make the commute so much easier by booking a hotel on The Strip!

Dubbed "America's Party," this event is free to attend courtesy of Las Vegas Events and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. Also, for those who can't make the party (though if you're in Vegas, why not???) the event is telecast as "America's Party: Live from Las Vegas" along with special events for those on EST.

Want to jack up your New Year's extravaganza? Head over to the Fremont Street Experience and catch a party full of tribute bands and fireworks!  Have some drinks, catch a show, watch the fireworks on huge LED screens, or indulge in some delicious dining. Whatever your tastes, some quality time at Fremont Street on New Year's is a MUST. Access to Fremont Street costs $40 (cheaper in advance) on New Year's Eve, but it's more than worth the cost of admission.

Some other great New Year's Eve events in Las Vegas:

  • The Luxor Hotel and Casino starts partying on East Coast time, and then just keeps going and going. Refuel with tacos and tequila, then head out on the dance floor with DJ Ernan and a mariachi band!
  • Head over to The Flamingo for X Burlesque, a sultry, sensual show that will bring in the New Year in a way only Sin City can.
  • Kick-off the New Year at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino with world class entertainment... at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino great fun and entertainment is always guaranteed.
  • Palms Casino Resort...
