The Skinny
This is sort of like an overpriced version of Taco Bell. Actually, at least you get to drive through Taco Bell. Here you are have to sit and endure the over-priced and only okay version of Mexican food, that admittedly does grow on you once you've shelled out the dough for a few margaritas. Don't get me wrong, there are perks in that the drinks are decent, and the location is prime people-watching territory in an outdoor setting.

Quick Facts
- Cabo Wabo Cantina is located outside the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.
- It is open from 8 am to midnight, with the biggest crowds in the wee hours of the night, when the poor drunk folk willingly hand over the money for some so-so tacos and that additional buzz.
- This chain was started in 1990 by American rocker, Sammy Hagar.

The Environment:
Expect the laidback vibe of Cabo San Lucas merged with the glitz of the Vegas strip- well, they tried anyways. The service is friendly, unfortunately not the kind of friendly you'd get at certain other Vegas afterhours establishments, if you know what I mean. But it is restaurant friendly. The food is mediocre and a bit pricey for what it is, but it is the Vegas strip and bargains are hard to come by, and that being said, margaritas are hard to resist in any form.
Why We Dine:
Cabo Wabo Cantina is fine for if you get the munchies late, or if you just want an outdoor spot to sip a margarita and people-watch.
- The View: No, not just the girls sporting their skimpy Vegas best. If you score a spot outside, you'll be overlooking the Bellagio fountain and all of the other action of the strip. Be ready to people watch, as we all know that people take "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" to heart.
- Margaritas Galore: They might not be the best around, or even the best in Planet Hollywood, but tequila is hard to completely ruin, as is alcohol in general for that matter, and they do have a fair amount of margaritas to choose from.
- Good Service: Even if the food isn't anything to write home about, the waiters and waitresses try their best, and they deserve kudos for dealing with Casino Boy on a Friday night.
Inside Knowledge:
They do Skinny Margaritas, so all you health-conscious folks out there can drink away your sorrows over the chunk of change you lost at one of the casinos, without worrying about intaking too many calories.
We Recommend:
- Chips and Salsa: Basic and easy to do, but tasty all the same. The chips aren't stale and the salsa has a nice flavor.
- Coconut Margarita: Similar to a daiquiri, and super refreshing on one of Vegas' extra warm days. Skip the signature margarita and go for this one instead.
Is it Worth It?
There are too many good spots for Mexican food in Vegas, and this is not the best way to spend your hard-earned cash in Sin City.Cabo Wabo Cantina Las Vegas Restaurant Amenities
