The Skinny
Come on Diego Las Vegas, usually we eat Mexican food because it's cheap and because it's fast. Those guys in the normal Mexican kitchens know how to satisfy our hunger and our hangover with some rice, beans and tacos and then begin the process to another one with their devilish tequila. Diego at MGM Grand Las Vegas is a whole different story. They took out the cheap, took out the fast, and added some class. Maybe we should try this move with the girls we take home from now on! Well, maybe not the cheap part. Let's be honest here.

The Environment:
Diego Restaurant Las Vegas is dressed up for Mexican food. It's the girl that showed up to a casual Friday in a prom dress, and you just have to think "she looks great, but what for?"
Why We Dine:
The Diego Vegas dining experience is a fancier version of what you'd get at your local Mexican restaurant. By fancier, they mean they aren't using the beans out of a can and they don't just slop it out on the plate and serve it over in a hurry.
- Happy Hour: In the bar & lounge only, Sunday through Thursday from 4-5:30. There's a limited food menu, but it's cheaper than you'd pay for dinner, and the drinks are what we're here for anyways. $31 pitchers of margaritas and sangria and $19 pitchers of beer. They also have a few drinks by the glass, but why not go all the way?
- Tasting Menu: The tasting menu at Diego at MGM Grand Las Vegas starts with a margarita. Sold! That's all we need to know. But then, whatever, there's food involved too. Four courses to be exact.
- No Need For Appetizers: Chips, salsa and guacamole are enough to fill you up while you wait for your real meal, and they are all delicious. You can show up famished and not have to wait one second before stuff chips into your pie hole. Chip-hole?
Inside Knowledge:
The guacamole doesn't come with the chips and salsa, but if you order it, the Senors will work hard to prepare it right at your table. Talk about fresh! Diego at MGM Grand Las Vegas does it right!
We Recommend:
- Gettin' Wasted: There's a bit of an upscale fun, party vibe going on in Diego at MGM Grand Las Vegas. The more fun you're having, the more you won't even realize you're on your 5th margarita. In that case, come during happy hour and get it by the pitcher. Dinner doesn't have to be done sober. You're in Vegas, and Diego is tempting you with 125 tequilas.
- Going With A Group: That being said, Diego Restaurant Las Vegas is the perfect place to get together and enjoy some tacos, tequila and a few laughs.
Is it Worth It?
It's pricier than your average Mexican. Yes, we are talking about the restaurant, and no way referring to the American workforce.Diego Las Vegas Restaurant Amenities
