Why We Dine:

In addition to the great service that that every fancy restaurant prides themselves in, Mix Restaurant Las Vegas has a few other things going for them. The views and high prices that come with this restaurant are appealing to some people. 

• Pricey Pricey: The average check at Mix Las Vegas runs about $90 a person, so come prepared if you just have to eat here. It's in THEhotel, so if you're looking for a fancy date spot, you'll surely turn a few heads when you walk in the door here. Probably because of your horrible outfit and the disbelief that you can afford to eat here.
• Great View: Of course it's pricey, with a view like this we'd overcharge people for some slightly better than average food done up fancy, too. At Mix Restaurant Las Vegas, You're paying for the view with every sip you take and bite you indulge in, but you're indulging in a great, although snooty, atmosphere as well.
• Tasting Menu: It'll run you about $90 a person, and that's before the optional $40 wine pairing. But if you're going to a fancy restaurant you might as well go all out, right? Mix Las Vegas will go all out to earn this $90 as hard as they can!

Inside Knowledge:

Mix Restaurant at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas got the Michelin Star in 2008 & 2009, a Mobil Four Star in 2008, and the AAA Four Diamond Award two years in a row. Plus, Vegas magazines, travelers and others are always talking about them and throwing around titles like "Best Restaurant in Town" and stuff like that. Obviously, people with money are saying this. Not Casino Boy. He has different titles for places like this, most of them stated with a grudge.
