Ellis Island Super 8From $65* a night. The Ellis Island Super 8 Hotel and Casino is full of locals, has decently priced and pretty good quality food and drinks, and hotel rooms that won't send you home bragging about all the extras. They won't send you home broke as a joke either though.

Excalibur VegasFrom $80* a night. Excalibur Las Vegas doesn't look like a giant cartoon castle for no reason - the theme here is all about King Arthur's court and the Middle Ages. Don't be surprised if you see knights and ladies here. Oh and lots, and lots of kids. You'll also find some die-hard bargain hunters because Excalibur Las Vegas has great promo codes and coupons year-round.

Fiesta Rancho VegasFrom Check Availability a night. Fiesta Rancho Station Hotel and Casino Las Vegas is more known for their casino than their hotel rooms. This is a local joint, but the rooms are simple and comfortable, even if they don't get as much action as the casino floor.

Gold Coast HotelFrom Check Availability a night. The Gold Coast Hotel and Casino does average a little bit better than all the other cheap off-Strip casino hotels in Vegas so it's a great place to stay if you don't need grandiose themes or epic luxury while you gamble.

Gold Spike (Closed)From $92* a night. The Gold Spike Las Vegas held it's last day on April 14th, 2013. Even though it had fresh white walls and a complete renovation has rendered this old gem a new hip place worthy of your 20 bucks, this hotel casino was bought by the Downtown Project of Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh and has closed.
